The right interior decorations and design can make all the difference in making a house feel like a home. While there are talented interior designers throughout the United States, it sure feels like some cities have more of a flair for it than others.
With that in mind, the team at Joybird wanted to see exactly which American cities are the best places to find interior designers. By using a multi-layered methodology that takes into account factors such as number of interior designers per capita, median hourly wage of interior designers, number of home furnishing stores per capita, and more Joybird was able to put together a ranking of the top cities for interior designers in the United States.
Joybird’s list includes the top 50 cities for interior designers, with a special emphasis on those that finished in the top ten. Washington, D.C. took the top overall spot but the rest of the top ten proved that top-notch design cities can be found all over the country. Boston reps New England, St. Louis the Midwest, Utah has mountain chic, Seattle and Los Angeles bring West Coast flair to the list, and four different cities in Florida and Georgia prove that Southern Style is in style.Before you start your next home redesign, it might be worth it to check with the style gurus in these cities first!
