The U.S. Hospitals Where Nurses Are the Most and Least Satisfied

Nobody plans to end up in a hospital. But if you do, here’s a tip: go where the nurses actually like working.
A new analysis from Northeastern University ranked the top 100 U.S. hospital systems based exclusively on real nurse reviews from Glassdoor. That means these ratings weren’t curated by PR departments or patients; they came straight from the break room.
The top 5 hospitals with the best reviews from nurses are:
- University of California Medical Centers (4.19 out of 5).
- Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (4.16).
- NYU Langone Health (4.13).
- Penn Medicine (4.12).
- Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (4.11).
This doesn’t mean nurses at lower-rated hospitals will miss your vein on purpose, but if you’re hoping for compassionate care, clear communication, and a caregiver who goes the extra mile, nurse satisfaction matters.
