To rank the cities they looked at multiple factors like single people as a percentage of the overall population, single-parent households, cost of living, cost of a dinner for two, and much more.
The city that came out as the best city for single parents looking to date was Cincinnati, Ohio. Out of a possible score of 50 points, Cincinnati ranked first with 40.8 points. With a relatively low cost of living, affordable options for a date night to remember, and a high percentage of single-parent residents, this Ohio city is perfect for single moms and dads looking for love.
The worst city doesn’t come as much of a surprise. New York City was named the worst city for single parents looking to date. Could it be the outrageous cost of living or money you’re expected to dish out for dinner? The analysis says, “a basic dinner for two at a local neighborhood spot will cost a couple $63.00; after-dinner cocktails will add another $25.00 to the evening’s total—that’s one expensive first date!”
